The „WE“ is ondeso: Bianca Eibach

Bianca has been working at ondeso as a Project Assistant in Professional Services since February 2018. Behind the scenes, she makes sure that many things run smoothly. Her responsibilities include creating licenses for customers, organizing training sessions and travel for our consultants, and keeping track of open tasks and consulting hours.

Within the team, Bianca is known for her positive attitude, reliability and willingness to help. She always has an open ear for her colleagues and contributes to a positive working atmosphere with her friendly manner.

We cannot wait to learn more about you in our interview. So let’s get started.

Let’s start with a quick Q&A session:

What was the bravest or most unusual adventure you have ever experienced?
My bravest adventure was the moment I was able to save a life thanks to quick thinking and decisive action. It is a moment that still shapes me deeply and remains unforgettable. I felt the responsibility and fragility of life like never before. Every decision and every second mattered. This experience showed me that courage can save lives even in risky situations and how important calmness and determination are. It also taught me to trust my instincts and convictions instead of blindly following others. The experience strengthened me, changed my perspective on life and reminded me how important it is to take responsibility and act confidently in critical moments.

My most unusual adventure happened while working in an ambulance. We were supposed to take a heavily pregnant woman to the emergency department. Just before reaching the entrance, she stopped because her waters had broken. The emergency doctor shouted to me: “Put your hands under her and catch the baby!” I reacted immediately. Suddenly, while crouching down, I was holding the baby in my hands. For a moment I was a bit stunned because everything happened so quickly. The location might not have been the most beautiful place for a birth, but in the end only one thing mattered: both mother and child were healthy and safe.

If you could be an animal, which one would you choose and why?
If I could choose an animal, I would be an eagle. Eagles symbolize foresight, independence and strength. Even in challenging situations they maintain a clear overview, make confident decisions and act with focus. It is a combination of clarity, independence and determination that I greatly admire. At the same time, they can soar high in the sky and still recognize details on the ground. I like to switch between seeing the big picture and focusing on individual tasks in a similar way.

Which three things would you take to a deserted island and why?
I would mainly take things that help with survival. At the top of my list would be a multifunctional knife with an integrated fire starter and compass. It would allow me to cut, improvise tools, start a fire, send signals and navigate. I would also take a pot. It can be used to boil water, prepare food or collect rainwater. As a third item, I would pack a tarp or some paracord. With it I could build simple shelter against weather, animals and insects. Paracord could also be used to build traps or even a simple fishing line.

Team books or team TV – do you have any recommendations for us?
I love reading and enjoy switching between different books. At the moment I am reading ‘Health Is No Coincidence’ by Peter Spork. It explains that health is not purely determined by our genes. Instead, it is shaped by lifestyle, environment, hereditary influences and even the experiences of our ancestors. The book provides fascinating insights from epigenetics and shows how environment and behavior can influence gene activity. It is perfect for anyone who wants to actively improve their health and lifestyle.

I am also reading ‘Total Recall’ by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is his autobiography about his journey from a small Austrian village to bodybuilding, Hollywood and eventually politics. It is an inspiring story about ambition, discipline and perseverance.

What was your biggest bad purchase?
My biggest bad purchase? Fake eyelashes. I was far too clumsy to apply them properly, and they ended up in the bin the very same day. A proper beauty fail.

Now it’s getting serious:

What exactly is your role at ondeso and what does a typical working day look like for you?

My workday is very varied. My tasks include creating ondeso SR licenses for customers, communicating with partners about admin training and license requirements, performing license counts with customers, creating certificates for training participants, maintaining and managing access in the ondeso ticket system, collecting service reports and delivery notes to ensure invoicing, preparing offers, checking orders, keeping track of open consulting hours of the PS consultants, maintaining the CRM and other tools, booking travel for PS colleagues and organizing the ondeso vehicle fleet.

How would your colleagues describe you?

My colleagues would probably describe me as cheerful, reliable and communicative. I am a team player who strengthens team spirit, supports others and always has an open ear. I try to dissolve negative moods, create a positive atmosphere and be someone who is loyal and trustworthy.

What did you want to be as a child and how did you end up at ondeso?

As a child I really had only one idea. I wanted to become a trainer for a dog unit at the police or the Federal Border Guard. In the end, I joined the sports unit in the German Armed Forces. If the time had already been right for women in the troops back then, I would probably have stayed there.

At some point I spontaneously applied for a position at ondeso. Shortly afterwards, the former CEO Rolf-Dieter Metka invited me to an ondeso event. There I had great conversations with my future colleagues Wolfgang, Hans and others and immediately felt comfortable. Only a short time later I started as an official ondeso employee in the Professional Services department. Who would have thought that “just applying” would turn so quickly into “fully on board”? Even eight years later I still feel the same sense of belonging at ondeso.

Thank you very much for your time, Bianca!
